At Staywia, we aim to provide fair and flexible policies that protect both our Guests and Hosts. This Refund & Return Policy outlines how cancellations, changes, and refunds are handled for bookings made through our platform.
1. Guest Cancellation Policy
Guests may cancel a reservation depending on the individual Host’s chosen cancellation policy. Each listing clearly states whether the policy is Flexible, Moderate, or Strict.
- Flexible: Full refund up to 1 day before check-in.
- Moderate: Full refund up to 5 days before check-in.
- Strict: 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.

2. Refund Eligibility for Guests
Refunds may be issued in the following cases:
- The Guest cancels within the allowed time based on the listing’s policy.
- The property is significantly misrepresented in photos or description.
- The Host cancels the reservation or the property is unavailable at check-in.
- In emergency cases (health, safety, or access issues), Staywia may intervene and issue a refund at its discretion.
3. Host Cancellations
If a Host cancels a confirmed reservation, the Guest will receive a full refund. The Host may face penalties such as reduced visibility or temporary suspension, unless the cancellation is due to extenuating circumstances.
4. Extenuating Circumstances
In rare cases such as natural disasters, government travel restrictions, or medical emergencies, Staywia may override the listing’s cancellation policy and provide refunds. Guests and Hosts may be asked to provide documentation.
5. How Refunds Are Issued
Refunds are processed through the original payment method via our payment partner iyzico. It may take 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
